Larkspur Landing Shopping Center
Location: Larkspur, California

The Larkspur Landing Shopping Center project involved complete rehabilitation and architectural upgrade of an existing 360,000 square foot retail center. Structural work included seismic upgrades, foundations and renovation to convert retail spaces for office occupancy.

Additional structural engineering for Buildings 4 and 5 consisted of seismic retrofit of wood shearwall upgrades, new shearwalls and new steel braced frames and foundations for the two-story wood-frame buildings and associated elevated pedestrian walkways.

Toys-R-Us
Location: San Francisco, California

Putting a major retail store into an existing building - on a fast-track schedule - brings with it many design challenges. C+D's structural engineers met those challenges when they designed building improvements for the 10,000 square foot facility.

C+D provided design through construction documents for the foundation, window and door openings, and steel framing for the warehouse and elevators/escalators working hand in hand with Toys 'R' Us. The retail toy store chain served as its own general contractor.

Working seven days a week, C+D met an ambitious schedule - allowing the client to move from design to selling toys within three months.
